This year we raised over £750 for charity from collections at meetings and sale of motorcycle items donated by members and sold by Barry and Kelvin at the Sammy Miller autojumbles. With the carryover from last year, we gave £300 each to Oakhaven Hospice, Naomi House and the Hampshire Air Ambulance. Since 2010, when we recorded these accounts, we have raised over £5,000 for charity.
The members agreed that next year the three charities we will support will be Motor Neuron Disease, Oakhaven Hospice and Naomi House. Mike Bamber an active motorcylce and light car owner, Triumph and Morgan, succumbed to MND after a long illness.
In 2016, we raised £638.20 for Charity; a large part again from the efforts of Barry and Kelvin who sold items, given by members, at Sammy Miller Autojumbles.
We gave £200 each to the following
· Hampshire and IOW Air Ambulance
· Naomi House
· Oakhaven Hospice
· £25 in Memory of Peter Rutin.
Peter Rutin was a member for many years and ran Armours, suppliers of exhaust systems for classic motorcycles.
Naomi House thanked us for our many years of support (see pictures in gallery). Since 2010 we have given our three main charities £1400 to £1600 each and have raised a total fund for various Charities of £4633.00.
This year was another good year for our charity donations. With the money raised during the year we have given £250 each to Oakhaven Hospice and Naomi House and £250 to Hants. and IOW Air Ambulance. This was raised by collections at meetings and sales of donated items sold at Sammy Miller's Autojumbles by Barry and Kelvin.
